Incredible 1945 Cranston Firesafes Team Signed Official Minor League baseball with the earliest known Yogi Berra signature on a baseball. He signed it “Larry (Yogi) Berra”. I have never seen this version of his autograph where he signed Yogi in parentheses. Yogi was playing illegally in this New England League while evading World War 2. He was playing under a fake name so he wouldn’t get caught. He was eventually caught and fined. The fact that he played under a fake name makes this baseball even more rare because he signed his actual name on it. There are a total of 23 signatures on the baseball. Comes with full letter Certificate Of Authenticity from James Spence JSA.
