Historic 1912 Boston Red Sox World Series Champs Team Signed Baseball JSA COA

The 1912 Boston Red Sox were the first team to play in storied Fenway Park, and they christened the new park in style, finishing first in the American League with a record of 105-47, the franchise record for wins in a season that stood until it was recently broken in 2018. The Red Sox destroyed their competition and led the league in runs scored and fewest runs allowed behind solid play by centerfielder Tris Speaker, the AL MVP, and pitcher Smoky Joe Wood, who won 34 games and a record 16 in a row. In the World Series, the Red Sox faced the National League champion New York Giants, defeating the Giants in 8 games.
Presented here is a vintage 1912 Official American League Ban Johnson baseball that has been signed by 23 members of that historic championship Boston Red Sox squad of 1912. All of the signatures have been signed in steel-tipped fountain pen and include the “Million Dollar Outfield” Tris Speaker, Harry Hooper and Duffy Lewis. Other notable signatures include Bill Carrigan, Heinie Wagner, Smoky Joe Wood, Hugh Bedient, Marty Krug, Clyde Engle, Hugh Bradley, and many others. The ball has red and blue stitching. This ball comes with an LOA from JSA (XX34442) for the signatures. One of the only known vintage 1912 team balls known to exist.
